Our project group travelled extensively through south-east Poland and western Ukraine. In the summer of 2007, we followed the trail of the ‘Seer of Lublin’, visiting the tomb of his teacher Rabbi Elimelech in Lezajsk, his first place of activity in Łańcut and various locations on the San, where the ‘Seer’ was active before he moved to Lublin. The resulting collection of images and text passages from the Hebrew Bible gave rise to a project entitled Hecht im Ganzen [Pike as a Whole], which we mounted in Dresden in July 2007.
